BioHorizons® Tapered Internal HD Surgical Kit

Thanks to the threading of the Tapered implantation product family, excellent primary stability and laser-Lok microchannels provide superior osseointegration and soft tissue regeneration for a predictable end result.

All implants in the product family can be inserted with the same surgical kit.

The surgical kit includes an intuitive color-coded layout that guides the surgeon through the instrument line. The drill section is color coded according to the diameter of the implant. The implant drive part is color coded with a prosthetic connection.

HD drills

Tapered HD drills have extremely efficient cutting grooves that allow sharp osteotomies even in the densest bones. The simplified drill markings correspond to the implant lengths of the six Tapered Internal families.

Recommended drilling speed: 1500-2000 rpm (2.0 and 2.5 mm), 1000 rpm (for all others)

Outstanding results with immediate loading

Predictability is an essential condition for immediate loading. On average, Laser-Lok implants have a 97.2% success rate under immediate loading.

Laser-Lok is a series of cell-sized microchannels around the neck of an implant that are formed using a patented laser ablation technology. The microchannels created with this technology are extremely uniform and, due to their size (8 microns), greatly facilitate the alignment and attachment of osteoblasts and fibroblasts to the implant surface.
